Merry Christmas, y'all!

Whipped this picture together to use as winter-time graphic for Silvestris.Net. I started out drawing a snowy forest, needed an object of focus, and tried a few different ideas until finally I settled on an old favorite. For some reason, snow/ice deer work very well as a winter symbol for me.

This one is all icicle-y - a spirit of frost and snow, perhaps, an embodiment of the cold season. Ethereal, beautiful, but untouchable and cold. The purity of chill and ice.

Media Used: Corel Photopaint 9 (as always) and my Wacom Graphire3.

I really like this, it totally embodies all the feelings I have at christmas; nostalgia, happiness, I love this piece.
