Engelhart Nouveau

Companion-piece to the Kaito Nouveau image, here we have the good Dr. Engelhart caught red-handed with one of his favourite hobbies, i.e the poking of all things occult (the other being the poking of ninjas).

The scarification-tattoo over his heart was placed there by a certain exceptionally vicious savage ninja on one of his expeditions. ... The reason why said savage did this instead of just killing him are a bit vague, but appeared to be something along the evasive muttered lines of living with the mark of one's enemy is really a torment worse than death or something, and he'll totally kill him next time. Apparently.

Sádamas, the fiend summoned by the good doctor here, is his familiar of sorts, bound to him by a covenant of spells and curses. A capricious, opinionated creature of petty malevolence and vast knowledge, it competes only with certain ninjas for the position of Dr. Engelhart's Greatest Headache. A tad less sexy, but possibly a bit more useful at times. When it feels like it. Which isn't very often.
